Dr Karthigesan A.M is an Electrophysiologist in Chennai, and a Senior Consultant Cardiologist, practising at the renowned Apollo Hospital in Chennai. He also conducts frequent consultations at Apollo's branches in Madurai, Trichy, and Guwahati. He holds an international certification in Cardiac Electrophysiology, making him an expert in his field.
In 2009, Dr Karthigesan marked a milestone in his illustrious career by establishing the comprehensive cardiac Pacing and Arrhythmia service at Apollo Main Hospital, Chennai.
His medical journey began at Thanjavur Medical College, Tamil Nadu, which laid the foundation for his stellar career. He furthered his postgraduate studies at Government Medical College, Nagpur, refining his passion and skill in medicine. Dr Karthigesan then advanced his training in interventional cardiology at the revered Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh.

He has earned recognition for his proficiency in performing complex RF ablation procedures, Pacemaker & Device implants, and revisions.

His journey includes serving as a Fellow in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the esteemed Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bangalore. He has also engaged in valuable Electrophysiology observerships at globally recognised institutions, including the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, USA, and the Harvard Medical School's teaching affiliates, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, USA.
Further, Dr Karthigesan expanded his proficiency in the field of electrophysiology with training in advanced 3D mapping technology for Complex Arrhythmia Ablations, including Atrial fibrillation and Ventricular arrhythmia Ablation at Shanghai Chest Hospital, China. Recognising his relentless commitment to the field, he was awarded the prestigious FHRS [Fellow Heart Rhythm Society] by the Heart Rhythm Society, USA.
